Easter Table Setting
12 April 2019
Easter is here! In a weeks time Im sure most of you will be enjoying some quality family time over a lovely lunch! Why not do it over a beautiful table setting.
Our challenge this week for #romancingthehome was to do an Easter table setting.
As usual I decided to do a simple table setting with a few flowers (which I bought from the supermarket because I didn't have time to go to the market) and everything else I had at home already! I didn't want to do the different pastel colours which we see often for easter, because it is Autumn in South Africa and we sure can feel it this week. So the spring decor associated with Easter definitely doesn't work here, and that's why I went for a more neutral colour palette.
It is really easy to make a table beautiful with what you already have.
The key to a beautiful table setting I believe is layering! For this table setting I have tried to create layers with all the different textures, for example the straw, wood and hessian pair well with the flowers to create a natural feel. I have also used the flowers to create layers by separating them into smaller vases along the table and have three different types, to create texture. The different shades of duck egg blue also add some interest! I added some Easter touches by adding in my ceramic bunny, a few faux easter eggs and some chocolate easter eggs.
And there you have a quick and simple Easter table setting!
Please go take a look at how the ladies decorated theirs!
